Giving back to my country

Far away in the sunshine are my highest Inspirations, I may not reach them but i can Look up and see the beauty , believe in them and try to follow where they lead...

I strongly believe a Child future shouldn’t be determined by to whom He/She born , every child should get equal quality of education and food irrespective of who his parents are , Some thing is not happening in our country , when I saw the poor kids I get angry then I remember Mahathma , he didn’t react when he got angry on british and South African slavery , he channelized his anger and achieved greater results by attacking the root cause of all the problems.

I am not going to blame the parents nor the policy makers , Instead I am going to take this responsibility and I will become the bridge to reduce this gap, something I promised in my school age by reading Pledge in the Morning prayer for almost 10 yrs .

This Project started on September 6th 2010 ,when I’ve visited the Govt Telugu Medium High school in my village Utoor and shared my ideas with the HeadMaster , who allowed me to talk with students .

First I took 2 hr session to 9th and 10th class students explaining them what is computers? And Why every one should know about computers and I could see in the students eyes lot of questions and excitement …

Next day I ‘ve made 7 teams ( Google, SAP, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Apple, IBM) and took seven volunteers , who will get trained by me on Computer basics and return each one should train at least 7 other students .

Next 2 days these 7 students mastered below topics and ready to share the knowledge they’ve received
1. What is a computer?
2. Usage and benefits of computers?
3. How to Power on and Power off computer ?
4. What is booting and what is Operating system?
5. How to create folders and subfolder and Naming them.
6. Paint
7. MS-Office
7.1 MS-word
7.2 MS-Excel
7.3 MS-Power Point
8. What is Internet and Google and usage of Internet ?

Now I could see the confidence in these Students eyes and they already started Dreming big .

62 yr old Independent India Progress

Its been 62 years we have got our Independence ,so lets review the developments happened and what’s needs to be done . I am not going to write here about our countries diversity , multi cultural multi languages , about tolerance , i will only write about the developments happend , happening and should happen......

Things improved in India
1. People or Population - have become human capital from burden .
2. India has Demographic Dividend ( The demographic dividend is a rise in the rate of economic growth due to a rising share of working age people in a population ) .

3. Entrepreneurship - Entrepreneurs seen as role models unlike villains after post independence , as these people contribution is huge for Nation.

4. English language -- identified as language aspiration .

5. Technology is seen as job creator unlike reduce jobs .

6. Globalization - participation is high , we are getting benefited out of it.

7. And our Democracy - people participation is high .

In progress

1. Primary education : We've Identified the Importance of Primary education and policies are made to improve it .

2. Infrastructure - connecting nation , we are seeing lot of fly-over’s , nation high ways all over the country .

3. cities - seen as engines of growth , so many new cities are coming up.

4. Single market - smooth seamless flow of goods across states .
5. e-governance – For such a big democratic country we need technology help in running the system , which provides efficiency and transparency… however this needs to be speedup .

Ideas in conflict

1. Conflicting political ideologies : policy making gridlock ( Ruling party Propose and opposition opposes ) .

2. Labor reforms - job protection is hampering job creation ( Strikes ) . 93% of employees of India in un organized sector .

3. Higher Education - state funding or private funding , even the quality of this needs to be improved, we are still following British age edu system.
4. Health : Still its not available to the poor ….
5.Environment – As we grow ( more income ) , more vehicles are coming on roads and more pollution , we need to balance it.

Sorry Bapu

Every time i watch movies on Freedom fighters or i read about them.....deep in my heart i feel sad... Bapu you and many freedom fighters sacrificed life’s for our country , dreamed Independent republic nation , with equality and thought that future generation will take India forward . But sorry bapu we've become selfish and greedy, forget about nation we don’t even care for our neighbors....Now we have so many leaders ..leader to each community, each religion, each language, each state, each political party but we don’t have leaders to represent whole country or the better way of saying is we don’t have a leader accepted by whole Nation ...India..... Bapu i keep thinking what i can do to realize your dreams ...should i join politics and work towards make it pure...should i become an entrepreneur to create jobs to our people...or should i become a writer to write give clarity and to guide our nation............do i have the capability...i don’t know..but this desire to help or change my nation is becoming strong day by day .......

In the Name of Development

Space, Earth, water, Air - God gifted beautiful elements .

we've made holes to ozon layer, we polluted the Air, we are trying our best to pollute the earth by using alltypes of pesticides ( Chemicals ) , we have already polluted the water ..what ever is given free by god and which cant be re built or repaired by humans we have destroyed in the Name of development .

Do we really care for our Next generation do we have any concern for our own children ......it doesnt look like...are we become selfish, greedy who lives for his own ....

Our ancestors never had these modern machines ...but they lived healthy lived long and lived happily...Lets go back to our past ..where we walked kilo meters....where we drunk water from river directly...i dont think we can dare to drink now...
where are those butterflys, where are those greenery, where are those play grounds, where are those fishing ponds..I dought our next generation even knows that these wonderful things were there before ....
I agree there are advantages or helped us like medical systems.....but abserve we are only counter producing instead of going to the roots of the problem....so you create a problem then you find a solution and you call it...Development or helping humans...isn't it funny....think about it.....

Dont just make a living , Design your life and make it meaningful

An Attempt
I see many people around me half-sleep even when they are busy doing things they think are important , this is because i think they are chasing wrong things . The way you get meaning into your life is to devote your self to loving others , devote yourself to your community around you and devote your self to create some thing that gives you purpose and meaning .

The below is one of my attempt to give meaning to my life ......

When I spoke to santhosh my neighbor in my home town Godavarikhani , i've realized that his Communication skills were very poor , though he has scored above 80% in his entire education i am sure this guy is going to struggle in getting job . I know how much pain and struggle the parents has to undergo to pay the fees at Godavarikhani. Parents are in hope that their kids with MCA degree will get a good job and lead a wonderful life . But the reality is no one told the parents and students about the importance of Soft skills in today’s competitive world to get a job , Including the teachers , well they them self are not aware of this fact .

Next day I’ve visited Godavarikhani MCA PG college and interacted with Students and faculties was shocked to find every one is like santhosh . They Can't communicate in English. That time I’ve realized my duty, as a person knowing the Industry i have to explain these students and faculties the importance of Soft skills in their career and in life .

I've coordinated with Mr.Ajay , Ajay is HOD for this college, I've conducted a seminar explaining the importance of Soft skills and also gave them tips and ways to improve their English. Next day i went to citicable channel office and spoke to their MD and convinced him to conduct an interview for me, through which i can reach whole city to explain the importance of soft skills and need to work on them from school age and i did it successfully .

After 2 months I've visited this college , I've asked the students what they have done to improve their communication skills , to my surprise none of them took any steps or attempts to improve their communication skills . I felt these guys need little push so gave another motivational speech to these students , there were 40 students , this time i wanted to see action from these students.

So we all agreed to meet a day later and every student will give a presentation with the below rules

1. Topic should be IT related.
2. Presenter Should be in Professional attire .
3. Time limit is 4 minutes .
4. The aim of this first session was to Attempt .

I got very good response , 27 students turned up that day with preparation, Students participated with lot of enthusiasm , they spoke on topics like web 2.0 , e-commerce, IT in India , Java Technologies, OS etc.

I've selected 2 winners and presented them Pen Drive as Prize .

To take it forward I’ve also drawn an action plan for which all students have agreed , Now on these guys and girls will meet weekly twice ( Monday and Wednesday ) to conduct these type of sessions among them selves . I've chosen 3 captains who will co ordinate these .

I know how much it will help these students once they come out of the college and face the world .

Most of these students studied in telugu medium , they need more help , but as i work in Bangalore , Godavarikhani is too far to travel frequently So i am planning to conduct Online sessions for these guys with the help of few volunteers from Bangalore .

So this is one of my efforts to make my life meaningful , i see so many ways and possibilities around us to help our country to develop .If we all start putting such small efforts i am sure we will be a Developed Nation soon .Sare jahase acha hindusthan hamara .....banana hey hamare desh ko .....Jai Hind.
